Aluna Sagita Gutawa (born in Jakarta on 11th August 1993) is Indonesian singer with soprano vocal, the full name of singer more popularly known as Gita Gutawa. She is also the daughter of Indonesian popular musician, Erwin Gutawa.Since she was a little girl, Gita was always a music lover, which is why Gita's parents named her Aluna Sagita Gutawa, which means "Alunan sebuah lagu" in Bahasa Indonesia which means strain of a song. She recorded her album in Vienna with her father's orchestra. After her success with ADA band, she started to produce her own album such as Harmoni Cinta. Then, she sang in her first single concert Kotak Musik Gita. The name of her concert is taken from a book which has the same title Kotak Musik Gita, by Andanari Yogaswari. The book tells about Gita's biography and tips for such things from Gita. Gita is Muslim.



She sang the Indonesian version of Freshlyground's "Doo Bee Doo" with same title.

She had won many awards including SCTV Music Awards. Recently she won The 6th International Nile Children Song Festival in Egypt., also winning Nickelodeon Indonesia Kids Choice Award for most favorite female singer.

Career
Gita Gutawa learned music vocalizing since she was in the 2nd grade of the elementary school. Since she saw a classic concert in a hotel in Jakarta. Around 2005, Ada Band was looking for a kid singer with a unique voice for their project. Gita Gutawa was chosen to be the kid singer to sing with Ada Band. Their song, Yang Terbaik Bagimu or "The Best For You" became a hit in Indonesia. In February 2007, she launched her first solo album, which was self-titled. The noted singles from this album are Bukan Permainan, Kembang Perawan, and Doo Be Doo, which won many musical awards in Indonesia. in May 2009, Gita launched her second album titled Harmoni Cinta or 'Love Harmony'. She wrote and arranged one song, Ayo or 'Come On'. Another song, Parasit was her second single. This song was #1 hit on MTV Ampuh, #2 on Dahsyat, #4 on Klik, and #3 on Inbox. This song tells about a friend who always takes advantages from his/her friend. She wrote the lyrics when she had Indonesian National Examination.

After release of "Harmoni Cinta" album, she also sang for original soundtrack of Indonesian full-length animation movie, Meraih Mimpi (a.k.a Sing to the Dawn). The song itself didn't progress too much, peaking #10's in Indonesia chart.
